At Miyajima Tonbo-an, we’re working on a new experience:
a guided tour around Mount Misen.

To start, our entire team climbed the mountain together.

Step by step along the trail, conversations came naturally,
and before we knew it, we were sharing deeper thoughts than usual.

After the hike, we enjoyed a BBQ together.

and found a popular matcha shop!

We got a hot matcha latte and poured it into a thermal mug.

Next up—

a koppe-pan shop we'd been curious about for ages!

We grabbed their No.1Katsutani anko & butter,
and a very Miyajima-style choice:fried oysters 🦪
Looks so good!

Another hot drink for today—

hot lemonade
made with Hiroshima lemons 🍋

And then,
we head to this quiet spot.

Cafés are nice,
and street food is fun too,

but taking a break
in a place like this—

so calm,
hard to believe it’s a busy tourist area—

honestly?
Highly recommended.

About the artist｜Shuntei Adachi
Born in Hiroshima, Adachi has exhibited and received awards both in Japan and abroad, including an invited exhibition in Paris. He has held solo shows across Europe and dedicated a calligraphy plaque to the National Treasure, Itsukushima Shrine. He continues his creative and educational work today as head of the Contemporary Kokuji Study Group and a visiting professor.

併設するコミュニティスペースには、著名なアーティストによる作品や、地元の作家による広島や宮島にちなんだ作品、お部屋にも設置している香りなどを展示・販売しています。
現在、国内外において高い評価を得る書家であり、厳島神社の表額も手掛けた安達春汀氏による刻字作品を展示中。

日本文化の美しさと精神にふれる、豊かなひとときをお過ごしください。

The adjoining community space displays and sells works by renowned artists, pieces by local creators inspired by Hiroshima and Miyajima, and fragrances also featured in our guest rooms.
Currently on display are engraved works by calligrapher Shuntei Adachi, who has earned high acclaim both domestically and internationally and created the main plaque for Itsukushima Shrine.
We invite you to spend a rich moment experiencing the beauty and spirit of Japanese culture.
